Guy Leon Babcock, Jr., 87, of Stockton and formerly of Los Altos, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in a Stockton care facility.
Born on January 25, 1918 in Denver, Colorado, he was a grocery manager for 60 years in the Los Altos area. A Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a daughter Susan Renwick.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marian A. Babcock of Stockton. Loving father of William (Connie) Babcock of Oakdale, Calif. Grandfather of five. Brother of Elnah Funk of Roseville, Calif. and Barbara Field of Menlo Park, Calif.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Simon's Catholic Church, Los Altos. Entombment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
