Marie Leach, 89, of Ray, died Tuesday in Holzer Medical Center. She was born February 5, 1910, in Jackson County, to Clifford and Elva (Crabtree) Mercer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Leach, in 1974. Surviving are sons, Allen (Judy), Jackson, Lewis Leach, Ray, Paul Leach, Waverly, Hugh (Judy) Leach, Tallahassee, Fla., and Ralph (Linda) Leach, Circleville; daughters, Mrs. Larry (Kay) Meredith, Beaver, Mrs. Dale (Becky) Noble, Jackson, and Mrs. Bill (Ann) Williams, Jackson; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mrs. Louise Goings, Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Irene Burns, Chillicothe, and Mrs. Dorothy Starr, Chillicothe. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gladys Hart and Lody Wright; brother, Donald Mercer; and an infant brother. Mrs. Leach was a homemaker. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will be held 1 p. m. Thursday in Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home, Jackson, with Eldr Marlin Mapes officiating. Burial will be in Limerick Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p. m. Wednesday (today) at the funeral home.
