Dan was born in Yuba City, CA on January 10, 1947, the eldest of three sons, to parents Morse and Iva Burton.

Growing up in the Marysville and Yuba City area he graduated from Marysville High School. He attended 2 years at Yuba College nd received a BS in accounting from San Jose State. After college he joined the Army stationed at the Presidio at Monterey, CA.

Dan married his college sweetheart, Sherry Imazumi and they raised threed sons. He was controller and part owner of Tabur Electronics in Carlsbad, CA. Dan bought Harlan Labs in 1990, closing the business and retiring when the recession came along.

Dan enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren whenever possible. A favorite pastime was spent fishing and being at his "cabin" in Quincy.

He is survived by his sons: Kyle Burton (Sam) of Oceanside, Kory Burton (Chandah) of Rancho Cordova; mother, Iva Burton of Marysville; brothers: Michael Burton (Julie) of River Falls, WN, John Burton of Marysville; grandchildren: Kaden, Cole, Michael, Ryan, Marie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
