Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Peña and son, Michael Pacheco.
Maggie is survived by her son, John Pacheco Jr., her daughters, Lorraine (Robert) Chavez, Grace Pacheco, Jane (Michael) Ramirez, Reda (Juan) Reyes and Jackie Peña and by her 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Maggie was a dedicated Democrat and campaigned for many years. Maggie was dedicated to her church where she taught catechism, sang in the choir and volunteered in the fiesta every year.
Maggie's life celebration will begin with viewing at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, followed by rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Burial will also take place at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a committal service at San Jose Cemetery (Gibson and I-25). Pallbearers will be Isaiah Peña, Adrian Chavez, Fernando Reyes, Francisco Reyes, Desi Chavarria, Robert Chavez, Paul Chavez and Todd Scott. Honorary Pallbearers will be Howard Battle and Juan Reyes.
