He married Amelia HESLOP, March 18, 1868, Belmont, Ohio.

The 1910 census indicates he was a house painter and they had 3 children, 3 living.
Their children are Sophia J, Mildred 'Millie', Richard William Cuthbert.

Cuthbert Githens was informant on death certificate. Occupation listed as retired soldier.
