Former Collinsville resident Sallie C. Hammers, 90, of 2702 Buxton, Granite City, died at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 7, 1978, at Elder Care, Alton.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Collinsville.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Davis Funeral Home, 21st and Cleveland, Granite City, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Edwardsville.
Survivors include two sons, Harry Hammers of O'Fallon and Everett Hammers of Valley Park, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Lester (Dorothy) Doolittle and Mrs. Hugh (Lorraine) Dix of Granite City and Mrs. Harvey (Nelda) Dix of Caseyville; 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death in 1944 by her husband, Enoch Hammers.
