Leona Webb 86, formerly of Oak Grove, Mo., passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at her home in Independence, MO.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today, Oct. 9, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., at Royer Funeral Home, 101 S.E. 15th St., Oak Grove. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery
Leona was born December 9, 1926, to Walter and Hulda Jewell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Webb, April 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Alfred W. Jewell, Anna Maxine Jewell, George Clayton Jewell and William J. Jewell.
Surviving children are Richard Webb and Donna of Bates City, Mo., Bill G. Webb and Deanna Webb both of Independence, Mo. Leona also leaves to mourn her passing eight grandchildren, William Street of Chicago, Ill., Richard E. Webb and Julie of Lexington, Mo., Walter L. Webb of Buffalo, Mo., Christopher A. Webb of Norfolk, Va., and his wife, Tamar Webb, Nancy Lyn Michael and Quincy, Jill Webb, and Audrey Webb, all of Independence, Mo., and Anna Webb of Liberty, Mo.; and 14 great-grandchildren, Hope and Houston Webb, Kirk and Klyde Webb, Nicholas and Tyler Thompson, Jordan Michael, Zachary Webb, Brianna and Kaitlyn Dotson, Ethan, Dylan and Claire Byrne, and Heather Sveum.
Leona was a homemaker and everyone enjoyed her holiday dinners as much as she enjoyed cooking them.
