CLARK, Ned A. 80, of Springfield, died at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in his residence. He was born in Circleville, Ohio on February 28, 1933 the son of S. Vance and Satia (Houck) Clark. He retired as a pressman from the Springfield News-Sun in 1995 after 40 years of service. He was a member of Pitchin Community Church, V.F.W. Post 1031, Elderly United and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He volunteered at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force and was an avid fan of the Bengals, Buckeyes and Reds. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary L. (Brinkman); three children, Steven A. Clark of Waldorf, Maryland, Eric A. (Rebecca) Clark of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Amy E. Knapp of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Marissa, Stephanie, Tiffany, Nick, Christina, Adam, Melinda, Joshua; 11 great grandchildren and two sisters, Nancy McKeen of Springfield and Marlene Jakeway of Columbus. He was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with a V.F.W. service at 7 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastors Charles Hill and Paul Price officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pitchin Community Church 4989 Mills Road, Springfield, Ohio 45502 or Community Mercy Hospice 444 W. Harding Road, Springfield, Ohio 45504.
