Richard Lee Bode, age 70, of Edwardsville, died at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
   He was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Edwardsville, the son of the late William and Luella Bohm Bode.
   He was survived by one sister, two nephews, one niece, nine great nieces and nephews, one aunt and several cousins.
   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Ray Bode, and one niece, Kay Steiner Kerin.
   Mr. Bode was a life-long farmer in Pin Oak Township and a member of Eden United Church of Christ.
   Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Saksa Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Krewson officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
   Memorials were suggested to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
