Jerry D. Huffman was born in Perkins, Missouri on May 24, 1936, a son of Vester "Bud" and Sadie Thomas Huffman.
He married Gloria Davis on September 24, 1955, in Scott City, Missouri. Gloria survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one son, Terry Huffman of Murphysboro; one daughter, Layneigh Potter of Murphysboro; two brothers, Charlie Huffman of Bradley and Larry Huffman of Murphysboro; two sisters, Carolyn Schott of Bloomsdale, Missouri, and Marilyn Obermann of Cape Girardeau; and one granddaughter.
His father and one brother, Robert, preceded him in death.
Mr. Huffman died at age 46 on Saturday, April 30, 1983, in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Murphysboro, Illinois.
