Jewel Catherine Culbertson, 97, of Bono passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Born September 22, 1916 in Bono to the late, John Henry and Martha Jane Wiles Caples, Jewel retired from Frolic Footwear and was a member of Old Enterprise General Baptist Church. She loved quilting and gardening.

Mrs. Culbertson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Culbertson; 7 brothers; 2 sisters; a son, Douglas Culbertson and a great grandchild.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Carlton) Gray and Patsy (Butch) Wilkins all of Bono; daughter-in-law, Mae Culbertson of West Memphis; nine grandchildren, April, Kim, Karen, Christi, Carlton Earl, Teresa, Laura, Kim and Rhonda; 12 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm Thursday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington in Jonesboro. Chapel services will begin at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Old Enterprise Cemetery. Tommy Cox, Peanut Phillips, Norman Leonard, Lynn Whitehurst, Harold Gray and Duane Wiles will serve as pallbearers.

Lasting memorials can be made to the Old Enterprise Cemetery Fund, in care of Jackie Cox, 48 CR 314, Jonesboro AR 72401.
