Jimmy C. Byrd, 77, of Old Pink Hill Road, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel Mae Byrd; and brothers, Harvey and Clarence Byrd.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton Hill officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Eleanor "Cricket" Byrd of the home; sons, Danny Byrd and Debra Padgett of Pink Hill; Randy Byrd and wife Delores of Pink Hill; three grandchildren, Dillon, Aaron and Ashleigh Byrd; brothers, Thomas Byrd and wife Shelby, Norman Byrd and wife Carol, Kenneth "Terrapin" Byrd and wife Jane; sisters, Estelle Smith, and Sue Hill and husband Milton "Runt"; and special caregiver, Juanita Abney.
