Confusion exists as to Lee Dakota Leeman's date and place of death.

*According to a newspaper account, Lee Dakota Leeman was originally buried in San Diego, California, then his remains exhumed and shipped to Deadwood, South Dakota, for reinterment in the family plot in Mount Moriah Cemetery. He had gone to California for his health.
