Mrs. Anna Wood of North Jackson street, 60, died Monday evening at 9:05 in Morrison Community hospital, where she had been taken that morning following a heart attack. She had been in failing health for several years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in St. Peter's Lutheran church, with Dr. Theo. Dierks officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Tomlinson funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening and until Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock, when the remains will be removed to the church.

Anna Jacobs was born Feb. 19, 1899, northeast of Morrison, the daughter of Mince and Christina Onken Jacobs. She attended Liberty school near Malvern. She was married Nov. 23, 1918 to Fred Wood, who died in 1944. She had been a resident of the Morrison community all her life excepting for two years residence in St. Paul. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church and of its Ladies Aid.

She is survived by one son, Marvin of Morrison; one daughter, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Conrady of Ogallala, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Louise) Schroeder of Morrison, and Mrs. Ottomer (Anna) Horn; four grandchildren. Beside her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Edward Jacobs, Mrs. Amelia Cordes and three in infancy. -- Whiteside County News, 31 Mar 1959, Pg 4
