Darrell B. Curtis was born October 27, 1930, the fourth son of Joseph and Lida Mae Cole Mauchley Curtis. He died April 17, 2006, at the age of 75 in Salt Lake City. Darrell graduated from Jordan High School and attended the University of Utah. He then served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Connie Marie Park on June 25, 1953. He worked in the masonry trade, Joseph Curtis and Sons, for over 40 years. His brickwork made the state a prettier place. He is survived by his wife, sons, Scott Darrell (Jackie) Curtis and Alan Brent (Cindy) Curtis; brother, Orrin F. Curtis; sister, Beverly Hughes; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Cloyd and Wayne Curtis and Arvil Mauchley. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at the Residence Care Source Hospice for assisting in his peaceful passing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. Visitation will be on Friday, April 21, from 9 - 10 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E 10600 S. where services will follow at 10 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
