Harold Eugene Bowe, 81, of Oak Hill, died Oct. 2, 2006, at Charleston Memorial Division Hospital.

Born May 31, 1925, in Clay County, he was the son of the late George and Mattie Bowe. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel; and his wife, Ruby.

Harold retired from Alloy Corp. He was a faithful member of Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church, a World War II veteran and a former member of the VFW.

Harold was dedicated to singing in various nursing homes in the Oak Hill area. He will be missed by his many family members and friends.

Surviving: his beloved wife, Drema Ellison Bowe; son, Jim Wilson and his wife, Clarice, of Price Hill; grandson, Jimmy Wilson and wife, Christie, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; granddaughter, Candy Witt and her husband, Curtis, of Dublin, Va.; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Brittany Witt and Tyler Wilson; daughters, Katherine Lynn Gysens and her husband, Geert, of Fort Mill, S.C., and Darla Kaye Smith and her husband, Randy, of York, S.C.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Layne Cox Jr., Jennifer Elizabeth Ramsey and Randy Wayne Smith Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Lee and Brittany Leigh Cox of South Carolina.

Service was Oct. 6 at Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church, Oak Hill. Burial was in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
