Harriet Klein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Klein, whose home is several miles east of Pella, died at the Abbott hospital, Oskaloosa, at 3:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 1918, aged 14 years, 4 months and 29 days. The cause of her death was goitre, and she had gone to the hospital for an operation, but was not able to have this performed before death came. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home at one o'clock and at Leighton Reformed church at two o'clock. Interment was at the Porter Grove cemetery.
