George Braden Claxton Jr.

George Braden Ciaxton, Jr., died Thursday, December 12,
1996. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on February 3,
1940, and grew up in Texas City.

He served in the Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic. He
worked in the electronics manufacturing industry and also had his own general contracting business. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Houston and later earned an Associates Degree in Computer Programming from Houston Community College in 1988. While at HCC, he was awarded the Koger Boston Scholarship and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. After graduation he was the Computer Manager at Houston Community College Central Campus.

Braden was survived by his wife, Rosemary; two sisters,
Natalie Sample, and Georgene Kehoe and husband, George;
brother-in-law, Joe Quintanilla; and four nieces.

Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening, December 16,1996, in the Drawing Room of The Settegast-Kopf Co., 3320 Kirby Dr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 ajtn. Tuesday, December 17, 1996, in the Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co., with the Tfoev. Naricy DeForest officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas.

A scholarship fund has been established in his name at
Houston Community College, c/o Deborah Christie, HCCS Foundation, 320 Jackson Hill, Houston, Texas 77007. Other
contributions may be. made to the Foundation For The Retarded, RO. Box 130564, Houston, Texas 77219-0564, or The American Heart Association, Houston Chapter, P.O. Box 20448,
