Janice Ann Vaughn, 65, of Richland, Ind., formerly of Herod, died 12:05 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. John Lee Jr. officiating. Burial was in Sunset Garden Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation was 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at the funeral home.

She was born March 5, 1936, in Pope County to the late Cole and Ora (Crabb) Wallace. On Jan. 8, 1955, she married James Vaughn of Richland, Ind., who survives.

She was retired after 28 years of employment as branch manager at the Integra Hatfield Indiana Branch. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kim (Tom) Lathery of Richland, Ind.; a brother, Deon (Ann) Wallace of Harrisburg; a sister, Geneva (Ronny) Warren of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Amanda and Tara Beehn; and two stepgrandchildren, Tommy and Adrian Lathery.
