Ashley Nicole Parks, 24 of NC Hwy 150 N. Lexington, died Sunday October 6, 2013 from injuries in a single car accident.

The funeral will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday October 9, 2013 at Friendship United Methodist Church where she was a member with Rev. Patrick Snow officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Ashley was born on January 5, 1989 in Davidson County to Dale Ray Parks and Carolyn Parks Walser. She had an Associates Degree in Science from UNC Charlotte and attended Forsyth Tech in the nursing program. Ashley was a very loving and compassionate person who loved to take care of the elderly and was working at Bermuda Commons Nursing Home. She loved to hunt, mud sling and ride her horse, Sugar. Ashley was the type of person that never left the room without giving everyone a hug and her smile was one that you would never forget. To have Ashley as a friend meant you had someone you could always depend on and she loved everyone. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruby "Boots" Parks Gibson, and Dewey Parks and very special Aunt Norma Greene that kept Ashley as small child.

Surviving in addition to her parents, are sister Brittany Parks of the home and her fiancé Devin Lanier, Stepfather, Larry Walser of Lexington, her fiancé Stevie James and Alex who was the love of her life and helped raise him like her son. Grandparents Don and Clatie Berrier and Robert Gibson, stepbrother, Tim Walser and wife Kim all of Lexington, uncle, Marty and wife Lori Parks and Aunt Kim Hester. Several cousins and her special "Aunt" Zandy Greene that loved her dearly.
