George W. Foster, 85, died at 12:30 p. m. Monday in Home hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient five days following a short illness.

Born at Green Hill.

In 1869, he married Margaret Carpenter in 1900, She preceded him in death in 1939.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are two sons, Don C. of Lafayette and Dale at home; three daughters, Mrs. Lucy Wilson of Indianapolis, Mrs. Ruby Hack and Mrs. Betty Krieg both of Lafayette; one brother, Alfred, who resides in Washington state; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Dimmich of Boswell. Mrs. Jessie Sullivan of Muskogee. Okla., and Miss Iduna Foster of Ambia.
