Rev. Talley was born June 25, 1950 in Richmond County, a son of the late Charles and Ethel Brown Talley. He was founder and pastor of Victory Baptist Church in Lilesville and prior to that had been a route salesman for Flowers Bread Co.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Ellen Smith Talley of the home; sons, Larry Wayne Talley, Jr and Rickey James Talley, both of Rockingham; brothers, Charles Talley ,Tommy Talley, and Alan Shankle, all of Rockingham; sisters, Marion McIntyre of Ellerbe and Carol Cooke of Mt. Gilead, and grandchildren Brittany, Kayla and Trevor Talley.
Funeral services were held at 12 pm Saturday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home Rockingham.
