Services for Lilly Mae Simpson, 62, Heritage Apartments, Davenport, are 1 p.m. Thursday at Bible Missionary Church, Davenport, where she often did volunteer work. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.

Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport, is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Simpson died Monday, Sept. 9, 1996, at home.

The former Lilly Chapman was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Iowa City, the daughter of Leonard and Nola Heinz Chapman. She married Fred R. Simpson. He died Nov. 5, 1976.

She was a cab driver and also worked at Mercy Hospital, Davenport.

Survivors include daughters, Rosemary Jaster, Davenport, and Cindy Lou Simpson, Odessa, Texas; and five grandchildren.
