Georg Heinrich Löffler was born in a small farming village (Georgenhausen), the son of Konrad Loeffler and Barbara Reinmund. He left home to join the army when he was in his late teens, and served in the military for a number of years, prior to WW I, as a Sergeant in the 1st Infantry, Regiment #115, Darmstadt. After military service he settled in Offenbach am Main, where he pursued a career with the German Telegraph service. He spent his last years in a retirement home/ nursing home, in Offenbach am Main.
