Mr. Bowles, an Army veterean was a son of Ernest & Varian Bowles. He served in the Army from 1965-1967 as an armor intelligence specialist with the HHC 1st BN 64th Armor 7th US Army. He worked for the town of Castile for 27 years and was a member of the American Legion.Surviving are his wife, Chyra Degenfelder Bowles, who he married in 1995; a stepdaughter, Sueanna Cartwright; 2 brothers, Ronald (Bonnie) Bowles and Rodney (Sally) Bowles; 3 grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mary Bowles. He was a brother of the late Richard Bowles.
