Arley Simpson, 74 years of age, of Bronston, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, May 24th, 1996 at the Kentucky Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky following a short illness.

Arley was born in Adair County, Kentucky on October 11th, 1921, son of the late Sam Henry and Sarah Bray Simpson. Arley was a disabled World War II veteran, having served in the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Arley was survived by one son, Arley Simpson, Jr.; three daughters, Sue Simpson, Margie Farmer, and Sara Lee Ghoul; two brothers, Orville Simpson and Eugene Simpson, both of Somerset, Kentucky; five sisters, Ruth New of Bronston, Kentucky, Lou Hewitt and Diane Murray, both of Panama City, Florida, and Carolyn Thompson of Somerset, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Henry Simpson and Sarah Bray Simpson; one brother, Ernie Pyle Simpson; and one sister, Shirley Marie Simpson.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 29th, 1996 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky with Bro. Ulanda Price officiating.

Burial followed in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky. Military services were conducted by the American Legion Post No#38.
