She was born on March 14, 1928 in Vermillion, Kansas to Clifford L. Kjellberg, SR. and Alma Irene Zeek Kjellberg.
She served in the US Cadet Nurse Corp during World War II. Sixteen years before moving to Bella Vista was Head Nurse of Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. She moved to Bella Vista in July 1975 from Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church and was involved in Church Sheppard group. She helped start and worked with the Nomad Shrine Ladies in Bella Vista, she was a member of Daughters of the Nile in Little Rock, Arkansas and was very active for 20 years; and worked with Bates Development Association for many years. She belonged to the Bella Vista Women's 9-Hole and 18-Hole Golf Associations. She enjoyed cooking, bridge, and bowling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; daughter, Kathryn Hall, and brother, C.M. Kjellberg.
She is survived by daughter, Cynthia J. Burns of Platte City, Missouri, two brothers, Clifford L. Kjellberg, JR. of Ness City, Kansas, Earl D. Kjellbert of Fallbrook, California; five grandchildren, Kelly Cowan, Tehra Pratt, Brian Clark, Christopher Clark and Shauna Hall; and five great-grandchildren, Carter Pratt, Ayden Pratt, Braydon Cowan, Carley Lynn Cowan and Haley Lynn Cowan.
A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Bella Vista Cemetery, Bella Vista, Arkansas with Dr. Anna Teel officiating. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
