Sally was born March 27, 1938 in Lakeside, Michigan to John P. and Mame (Riekert) Gibson. She attended Three Oaks High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Northern Michigan University. Sally started her profession in Tecumseh, Michigan and retired from her career as a reading specialist in the public school system in Key West, Florida. She had a flair for interior design, enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid reader. She also belonged to several bridge and Mah-Jong groups.
