Carrie, 66, of Holt, our loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend was called home to her Lord on September 26, 2013 after a short battle with breast cancer.

Carrie lived thru the years in Breckenridge, Laingsburg, Charlotte, and Holt. She graduated in 1965 from Laingsburg High School. Carrie's 47 year career as a hairstylist, began at Meijers Hair Salon as a manager, and for many years at Innervisions Salon, and the last 5 years with "the girls" at Upper Cuts in Holt.

She was a dedicated member for 25 years at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt where she was a member of the choir, worship committee, and was the head of the sanctuary guild.

She was an avid fan of Spartan Hockey, Detroit Tigers, and the Detroit Red Wings. She enjoyed spending time at the Holt American Legion 238. Carrie loved helping people.

Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Dean Cook; 2 daughters, Lyn Ann (Jeffrey) Bowling, and Holly (Joseph) Corr; 4 grandchildren Bradley & Lyndsay Bowling, and Xavier & Ellison Corr; step- children, Chad Larder, and Fawn (Darren) Young; 5 step-grandchildren, Levi, Owen, & Cydney Larder, and Olivia & Milo Young; sister, Kam (Ron) Polk; 2 brothers, Charles (Linda) Pelham, III, and Brian Pelham; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

Services were Tuesday, October 1st, at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, Holt, MI, with Rev. Kirk Miller officiating.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Sparrow 5 West and Hospice of Lansing for their care of Carrie.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Lansing in memory of Carrie.
