Earl C. Babb, 71, of Jamestown, passed away April 11, 2004, at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Robert and Stella Honeycutt Babb; two brothers, Bill Babb and Buddy Babb; and three sisters: Mattie Nelson, Elsie Devor, and Myrtle Carson.

He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

He is survived by four sons: Ralph Babb and wife, Mary, of Jamestown; Richard Babb and wife, Rhonda, and Ronnie Babb and wife, Mary, all of Oneida; and Benny Babb and wife, Brenda, of Alabama; 13 grandchildren, the mother of his sons, Christine Babb of Oneida; one brother, Bobby Babb and wife, Wilma, of Oneida; one sister, Geneva Sexton of Oneida; and many other relatives.

Funeral service is to be conducted April 15, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Carlie Duncan and Rev. Jack Chitwood officiating. Music is to be provided by Paul and Joel Chitwood. Interment is to follow in Katy Blevins Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
