Rabies claimed the life Monday morning of 8-year-old Nyle Johnson, of 0829 SW Palentine Hill Road.
The boy was apparently bitten by a rabid dog while he vacationed in Cairo, Egypt, in May. The Johnson family left Egypt May 27, and onset of the disease was about July 21.
Son of Mrs. and Mrs. William L. Johnson, Nyle was hospitalized at Good Samaritan Hospital July 26. He died at 4:50 a.m.
