Sam Meadows

Samuel Russell "Sam" Meadows, 87, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 1, 2013, in Casa Grande.

Mr. Meadows was born on Aug. 11, 1926, in Marysville, Ohio, to Calvin and Iva Marie (Eaggelston) Meadows, one of six children.
He was raised in Phoenix, Coolidge and Casa Grande, and he considered Arizona his home.

He spent many happy years with his companion, Stephanie Crofts. His siblings are Donnie Meadows, Larry Meadows, Bobbie Meadows, Eunice Meadows and Ester Meadows. Other survivors are eight sons and daughters, Earnest E. Parrish, Henry "Bud" Parrish, Russell Williams Meadows, Michael D. Meadows, Anthony D. Meadows, Debra S. Prater, Dale W. Anderson Jr. and Lisa R. Rains; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives, Catherine J. (Cunningham) Meadows and MariAnn S. Meadows.

He will be laid to rest in Chico, Calif., alongside his wife Catherine.
