Everett Griffin "Chip" Gray, Jr., 51, of Vinton decided to go be with his Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2013. Chip is a charter member of Church Alive International and has been faithfully involved as a vital, talented contributor to the music and sound ministries. Chip has been a devoted husband to his bride of 26 years and a loving father to his daughter and two sons. He has modeled character and integrity to all who know him, putting his wife, children, and grandson second only to his relationship with Jesus Christ.

Chip was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Edwin and Susie Herron; paternal grandparents, Fred and Ida Gray; and mother, Myrtle Herron Gray.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa Sanders Gray; daughter, Nicole Gray; sons, Alex and Bryan Gray; father, Everett Gray, Sr.; siblings, Randy Gray, Keith Gray and wife, Kim, and Tanya Ritz and husband, Bob; grandson, Otto Tyler; and many other dear relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon, Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Church Alive International, 905 Peters Creek Road at Salem Turnpike, Roanoke, VA 24017 with Pastor Carey Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 982-2221. Online condolences may be made at www.oakeys.com.
