Freda worked for more than 35 years with Diamond Publishing Co. as a graphic artist, making many friends along the way who loved and trusted her. Freda loved traveling and especially her trips to Laughlin, NV.
Freda is survived by her mother, Nettie Maples, sons, Michael D. (Jeanette) Barnett, Steve F. (Gale) Barnett and Hal Barnett, sister, Fosteen Sergeant, brothers, Carl (Leslie) Maples and Tommy (Shirley) Maples and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Barnett and her father, Foster William Maples.
A committal service with United States Air Force honors will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM . Friends may visit French-Rio Rancho, NM on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Freda was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
