She was born May 6, 1905 in Lehi, Utah, to Joseph Anderson and Tryphena Rozeltha Boyer. She grew up in Lehi, graduating as the valedictorian of her high school class. At a dance she met her eternal companion, Tyler R. Vincent of Midvale. They were married June 15, 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple.
"Edie," as she was known by her family and friends, was a woman of remarkable artistic talent. Her watercolors and oils adorn the walls of family, friends, acquaintances and businesses. She loved to read, garden, knit, golf, and cook. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, served in numerous Church and community positions, and enthusiastically supported her husband in all his activities.
Edie is survived by her husband and three children: Craig T. Vincent (Patricia), J. Garr Vincent (Janet), and Daryl Vincent Vranes, all of Salt Lake City. She is also survived by two sisters and one sister-in-law: Verda Rasband and Josephine Johnson (Raaf) of Salt Lake City, and Mildred Anderson of Orem. Also surviving her are eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her life was an example of selfless service and sacrifice to the good and well being of her husband and family.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation to Sue Ann, Sherlene, other members of the IHC Hospice team, and also to Laurie, for their loving and dedicated service.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 1996, at the Salt Lake Oympus First and Third Ward chapel, 4100 South Camille Drive (4100 South, 2485 East) where friends may call 11:30 a.m.12:45 p.m. prior to the services in the chapel. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
