Arthur R. Futterleib, 86, of New Britain, CT. husband of Gladys (Geiger) Futterleib, died Friday (November 7, 2003) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in New Britain on Jan. 21, 1917 he lived here most of his life. Mr. Futterleib worked at Fafnir Bearing Company for 36 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in New Britain and was a member of the Central Connecticut Homing Pigeon Association.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Dennis Futterleib and his wife Joy of Meriden, CT. David Futterleib and his wife Nancy of Leesburg, FL. and George Futterleib of New Hampshire; a brother, Edward Futterleib and his wife Mildred of Canton; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Futterleib; and a sister, Eleanor Berry.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain, CT..
