He married Edith Florence Whitworth on February 1, 1924 in the Logan Temple. They had 5 children. Deon, Verl, Mark, Carol and Craig.
Wesley logged for a few years and he and his brothers owned and operated a saw mill. He then farmed and ran sheep and then cattle for many years. He was active in civic and farm improvements. He promoted and helped to organize the Gem Valley Cooperative Cheese Co. He worked to help bring the Utah Power and Light line into the community. He was president and director of the Last Chance Canal Company, the Bench Canal Company and the Brown Ditch. He was director of the Gem Valley Grain Growers and Helped to Organize the Meadow Creek Cattle Association and the The Grace Potato Seed Growers Association. He rode in the Caribou County Posse. The Hubbard Brothers was one one of the pardners that built the Soda Springs elevator.
Wesley lost his eye sight and was blind for the last 12 years of his life. He kept himself busy improving his mind, he stayed informed on current events, in the news media over radio and television. He heard approximately 3,000 books and magazines, over his record and tape players, plus the many hours his wife Edith spent reading to him. He passed away peacefully in his rocking chair in his home in Logan Utah August 29, 1976.
