A. F. Arnold, 84, Lockridge, Dies

A. F. (Aaron) Arnold of Lockridge, 84, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday at the Nelson Nursing Home where he had been in failing health the past two years. He suffered a stroke on Friday.

Services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Robert McElderry of the Lockridge Baptist church. Burial in Lockridge cemetery.

Arnold was born Jan.22, 1882 in Logan County, Ill., the son of John and Gertrude Beranhaum Arnold. He was married to Amy Snider March 5, 1902. They lived in the Lockridge community for 58 years. He was a retired farmer.

Besides his wife he is survived by four daughters: Mrs. George Dutton (sic. Button) and Mrs. Harold Bogner, Lockridge; Mrs. Harold Gustafson, and Mrs. Charles Schmeig of Moline, Ill.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He also leaves five brothers and two sisters: Fred and Dewey Arnold of Muskogee, Okla.; George Arnold, Missouri; Louis and Earl Arnold, Torrington,Wyo.; Mrs. Matilda Woodall,Commerce City, Colo.; and Mrs. Goldie West, Lincoln City, Calif. He was preceded in death by one son,a daughter, three brothers and one sister.
