Homer Wayne Culver, 85, of Strasburg, died at 3:12 PM Saturday, June 14, 1997, at St Anthony's Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, at First Christian Church, Stewardson, with burial in Stewardson Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service. Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Stewardson, or the donor's choice.
Mr. Culver was born Jan. 22, 1912, in Stewardson, the son of William and Minnie {Webb} Culver. He married Edna Webb in 1941. She died in 1993.
He was a retired plumber and a member of the First Christian Church, Stewardson.
Survivors include his son, Charles of Strasburg, daughters, Doris James of Effingham, Charlene Culver of Mattoon, sisters, Ruth Webner of Strasburg, Olive Storm of Shelbyville, seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
