Funeral services for Ms. Virgiree Ivey Brantley, 88, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Hugh Baxter will officiate.
Ms. Brantley was a lifelong resident of Johnson County. She was the daughter of the late W.R. (Bill) and Nancy Logue Ivey. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her children, Nancy Attaway, Benjamin Brantley, Colon Brantley, Clarke Brantley and Pruitt Brantley. Ms. Brantley died Sunday morning, April 1, 2007 at her residence.
Ms. Brantley will be placed at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and the family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church.
Stanley Funeral Home of Wrightsville has charge of the arrangements.
