Mae was born in Cambridge, Idaho on March 23, 1933. Mom was a special woman that never held back her love & assistance for her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, even if it meant going without for herself. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Dykes, both her parents John & Elsie Butenschoen; brother Melvin and baby sister; nephew Philip Sleeper; daughter-in-law Sheryl Ross, grandson Michael Ross and great-nephew Justin.
Mae worked many years at the local canneries-Twin City Foods and most recently National Foods.
Mae is survived by her sisters Barbara Sleeper, Margie Reiber and her husband Robert; brother John Butenschoen and his wife Judy; her sons James Ross and his wife Lynn, Doug Ross, Dan Ross and his wife Sylvia, Don Dykes and his wife Sue; daughters Laura Conquest, Kathy Lawless and Linda Westbrook.
Mae was very proud of all of her family including 22 grandchildren (which were adored by her and they adored Grandma). Also she had 20 great-grandchildren. Mom, you will never be forgotten by all you touched and we will all miss you.
Viewing will be Friday, March 16, from 12:00-5:00 pm and Monday, March 19 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm.
