David Leslie Lewey, 78, of 206 South 2nd Ave., died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison, with the Rev. Charles Greene officiating.
Mr. Lewey was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Guilford County, N.C. to the late Arthur and Nora Lee Lewey.
He was retired from Cone Mills.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Decie Tolbert Lewey.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at Ray Funeral Home, Madison, and all other times, at his residence.
