Robinson, Alfred Adair "Bubber" Alfred Adair "Bubber" Robinson, 90, a farmer and rural electrification pioneer, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at his home in New Roads. A native of Jackson, Miss., he was preceded in death by his parents, May Belle Frasier and Douglass Robinson of Jackson; three brothers, Douglass Robinson Jr., John Kent Robinson and Will Frasier Robinson; and a sister, Mrs. Paul (Anna Belle) Davis. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Drane Robinson; and six children, Alfred Adair Robinson Jr. married to Linda Pitts, William Douglass Robinson, married to Susan Beatty, Thomas Drane Robinson, Paul Davis Robinson, married to Patricia Webb, MaryAnna Robinson and Margaret Mercedes Robinson, married to David Legnon; 12 grandchildren, Alfred A. Robinson III, Tracy Louise Robinson, Amanda Kim Robinson, Rebecca Robinson Marceaux, Amber Robinson Teague, Lynn Robinson McCoy, John Thomas Robinson, Leigh Anna Robinson, Georgia Ann Robinson, Katherine Lynn Robinson, Paul D. Robinson Jr. and Wallis John Morgan; and six great-grandchildren, Andrew Adair Robinson, Haley Lynn Robinson, Maggie Marie Marceaux, Matthew Douglass Marceaux, Olivia Whitlock McCoy and Clay Houston McCoy. He was a graduate of Central High School, Jackson, Miss., and attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. He was an avid duck hunter and a member of the New Roads Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pointe Coupee Hospice, 350 Hospital Road, New Roads, LA 70760. (225) 638-5717. Visitation will be at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, and from 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, until service at noon, celebrated by the Rev. John McBrearty, S.S.J. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Roads. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Alfred A. Robinson III, John Thomas Robinson, Wallis John Morgan III, Paul D. Robinson Jr., Joseph H. Cotton Sr., Tupper Drane, George LaCour, Charles E. Morgan, Richard W. Swanson and Claude Terrance.
