WAS TAKING IN LAST LOAD FOR DAY -- "Thomas Stangel, aged 42, was instantly killed at his home near Tisch Mills Monday night when he fell from a load of grain while on his way from the field. Stangel’s neck was broken in the fall and he was dead when found.

"Stangel had been at work during the day hauling in grain from the field and was taking in the last load of the day when the fatal accident happened. He was on top of the load and it is believed dropped one of the reins and in attempting to regain control of it, fell from the load striking on his head with the result that his neck was broken.

"The dead man was a son of J.W. Stangel who conducts a hotel and saloon between Tisch Mills and Mishicott and also owns a farm on which the son was employed. Mr. Stangel was unmarried and had made his home at Tisch Mills all his life. The funeral will be held at Tisch Mills. The dead man was known in this city and at Two Rivers."
