Born in Akron, Ohio, he married Alice on August 16, 1952 in Ft. Shafter, Hawaii and they traveled around the world during his 23 years of military service.
Upon retiring from the U.S. Army, Jake continued his contribution to society by working in the Akron Public School System as an electronics teacher for many years.
Preceded in death by his wife in 2004; he is survived by his children, Howard E. Watson and Jane (Steve) Dan; grandchildren, Heather (Robert) Horan, Cory, Brittany and Devon Dan; friend and companion, Ada Sullivan.
Friends may call at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel SUNDAY from 2-4 p.m.
Interment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
