Robert Woodrow Prichard I, 60, St. Clair, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, surrounded by the love of his family.

Robert, son of Sidney David Prichard I and Elizabeth Prichard, nee Alymer, was born Aug. 20, 1953, in St. Louis. He was united in marriage to Sharon Elaine Comstock April 28, 1973, and four children came to bless this union.

Robert was a Christian and 20-year member of First United Pentecostal Church, Washington. During his working career, Robert was employed as an assembler by Daimler-Chrysler Corporation, Fenton, retiring after 23 years. He also was a proud member of the United Auto Workers, Local 110. Robert was very active in his church, serving at various times as sound engineer, maintenance man, Sunday School teacher, bus driver, youth leader and served in the nursing home ministry. He also loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games, fishing and playing video games. Word has it he loved to barbecue and was considered to be the grill master. What meant most to Robert was time spent with his family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by all of them.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Prichard Wright; one brother, Patrick Prichard; and one sibling-in-law, Dawn Comstock.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Elaine Prichard, St. Clair; children, Robert "Rob" Prichard II and wife Melissa, Simon Prichard and wife Rebecca, all of St. Clair, Shauna Pfitzinger and husband Nathaniel, and Rebekah Prichard, all of Washington; stepfather, Robert Wright, Pacific; parents-in-law, Earl and Lizzie Comstock, St. Clair; siblings, Sidney Prichard II and wife Anna, Mark Prichard and wife Patsy, Pamela Perkinson and husband Mike, Noreen Portell and husband Darrin, Hope Lane and husband Dennis, all of Pacific, Margaret Pelton and husband Rodger, Altamonte Springs, Fla., James Prichard and wife Ann, St. Clair, Nancy Summers and husband Charles, Mayflower, Ark., Dennis Prichard and wife Corinne, Leslie, Leah Gage and companion Jerry Thomas, Catawissa, Christine Prichard and companion Patrick Day, Villa Ridge, and Michael Prichard and wife Laurie, Robertsville; step-sibling, Nathan Wright, Sullivan; grandchildren, Robert Prichard III, Barrett Prichard, Aiden Pfitzinger, Grace Pfitzinger and Josiah Prichard; siblings-in-law, Dr. Donna Sweets and husband Paul, Newburgh, Ind., Brenda Bess and husband Bill, Kate Bell and husband Mike, all of St. Clair, Anna Prichard and husband Sidney II, Pacific, Frances Stieglitz and husband Christopher, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Liz Clark and husband Danny, Ashland; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Daniel Keck officiating, assisted by Brother Bill Evans.

Interment was in Brush Creek Cemetery, Gray Summit. Memorials may be given to the family or to the American Cancer Society .
