Carolyn Wilkerson, 90, of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 02, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL. She was born in Centerville, Iowa, in 1922, the daughter of Italian immigrants Frank and Ann Vecelli Angaran. She enjoyed the love and companionship of a large family consisting of her 7 sisters and 2 two brothers as well as 32 nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3205 60th St, Moline. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave, Moline. Burial will be at the Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Heart Fund or Christ the King Catholic Church of Moline where she was member for over 40 Years.

Carolyn was united in marriage to Walter H. Wilkerson October 30th 1943, in Chicago. They were married 54 years prior to Walter's passing on January 2nd, 1997. Carolyn retired from Kmart's Moline store after 17 years, managing the appliance department for the last 10 years. She and Walter were regular winter month snowbirds in Mission Texas for 13 years prior to Walter's passing. Carolyn stayed active after retirement serving as a volunteer at the Trinity Hospital Gift Shops and sewing "Cool Bears" for hospitals children's patients for 26 years and totaling more the 3800 hours of service.

Through God's grace Carolyn and Walt gave birth and raised three children who extended their family with three loving spouses; Walter (Skip) & Sheila Wilkerson of Naples, Florida, Jack & Jacki Wilkerson of Moline and Pat & Gordon Bloeser of Morrison, Colorado. She was also blessed with 6 Grandchildren; Tim Wilkerson of Phoenix, Arizona, Tom Wilkerson of Eldridge, Iowa, Marcy (Chris) Benson of Cave Creek, Arizona, Julie (Marcus) Quaranta of Silvis, Illinois, David (Mandy) Wilkerson of Gurnee, Illinois and Melissa (fiancé, Andrew Wagner) Bloeser of Littleton, Colorado. She was also able to enjoy 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Gretchen, Nathan, and Rachel Wilkerson, Connor and Max Benson, Morgan and Caitlyn Quaranta, Parker and Taylor Wilkerson.

She is survived by two sisters, Angie Tripodi of Steger, Illinois, and Margret (Kenney) Reboulet of Dayton, Ohio.

Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; brothers, Jack and Joe Angaran; sisters, Marie Kozial, Esther Angaran, Annie Sovecki, Fran Johnson, and Jennie Matkovich.
