Brief funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Mattie Jarvis, whose death occurred at Cedar Falls last Monday, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Greenwood cemetery chapel here by the Rev. J.A. Worrell, pastor of the Park Avenue Episcopal church. Burial was in Greenwood.
Mrs. Jarvis had spent most of her life here but 12 years ago went to Cedar Falls to make her home. She was a member of the Woman's Relief corps and of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Surviving are a son, Calvin W. Jarvis, Minneapolis, a daughter, Mrs. Amos Wenzell, Glendale, Calif., four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
