Fern L. Peters
Havre--Fern L. Peters, 84, a retired licensed practical nurse, died Tuesday of natural causes in a Havre hospital.
Memorial rites are at 2 p.m. Friday at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church, with burial of her ashes in Highland Cemetery.
Born April 17, 1910, in Havre, she grew up here and attended Northern Montana College. She was certified as an LPN and served on the Montana Board of Nursing before retiring in 1972.
She and Victor G. Peters were married in 1929 in Chinook; he died in 1993.
She was a member of the Van Orsdel Church, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Royal Neighbors, Eagles Auxiliary, and NMC Alumni Association.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Hoge of Big Sandy and Doris Searer of Glendive; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two daughters, Carol Peters and Peggy Ann D'Hooge have died.
