Bobby Wilson Almon,82, died Monday Sept. 30, 2013 in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Bobby loved church and singing there. He enjoyed carpentry, camping, being outdoors and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was a Kentucky Wildcats, St.Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts fan.

Survivors include his wife, Betty (Lear) Almon of Indianapolis, three children,Ricky D. (Sheila) Almon of Kentucky, Jeana ( Kevin) Haley of Indianapolis and Shannon (Bonnie) Almon of Camby, three sisters, Bessie Alexander and Madolyn Stringer both of Kentucky and Vanita Cullen of Florida, brother, Jerry (Nina) Almon of Kentucky, five grandchildren,Dustin Almon, Savannah and Hayden Haley, Jordan Almon, Peyton Almon and two great-grandchildren, Kailyn and Jalen Almon, brother-in-law, Dwayne (Anita) Lear of Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Maddie (Lovan) Almon, brother, Charles Almon and sister, Hilda Farris.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.Saturday at Northern Park Baptist Church, 598 North Meridian St., Greenwood, Indiana,

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Rocklane Cemetery in Greenwood.
